COVID-19 Policies & Procedures at Inveraray Hostel

In accordance with current government guidelines, we’ll be temporarily introducing the following procedures and policies.

Our measures will only be effective if we can rely on our guests to be sensible, take personal responsibility and be considerate of other guests staying at the hostel. We thank you in advance for your co-operation in helping to maintain a relaxed, friendly and safe environment for all.

  • We are reducing our occupancy. We’ll manage reservations carefully to ensure all guests can move comfortably around the hostel and use all our facilities with ease whilst still keeping the recommended physical distance

  • Individual beds in shared dorms will not be available to book this season. All our rooms will be available for private occupancy only

  • Hand sanitiser will be provided for guest use

  • Soap dispensers are installed in the bathrooms and paper towels are available

  • We shall continue with our high-standard cleaning routine after guest check-out, carry out regular checks of the facilities during your stay and include an evening clean of common areas

  • Our rooms are simple, uncluttered and easy to clean thoroughly to maintain excellent hygiene standards and, as usual, all bed linen is changed after each guest use

  • Our shared self-catering kitchen will be open and available for guests to use. Dining area seating will be reduced to create more space, allowing for easier distancing, and tables will be allocated to specific rooms

  • Sorry, for now our cosy little lounge will not be open, nor will board games, musical instruments or books be available for the time being. Do bring your own pack of playing cards!

  • The bike shed and drying room will remain open for guest use

  • Unfortunately, we are unable to offer our usual Super Continental Breakfast this season. Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate will be available

  • Guests will be required to show ID at check-in

  • Please note that these are additional policies and not a substitute for our standard policies

  • Any guest flouting government guidelines during their stay and/or making others feel uncomfortable will be asked to leave the premises immediately
